Dr. Evan Appelbaum, MD, FACC

Dr. Evan Appelbaum, MD, FACC

Dr. Appelbaum, Director of Men’s Health Boston, is a Harvard-trained, board-certified cardiologist and cardiac imaging specialist. He offers comprehensive cardiology services with a focus on preventive care, fitness and wellness. He assists in expanding MHB’s mission to deliver world-class healthcare and help men live their best possible lives.

Dr. Appelbaum provides expert cardiovascular consultation with in-office diagnostic testing including stress/fitness testing, echocardiography, vascular ultrasound, cardiac computed tomography (CT) and heart rhythm monitoring. Dr. Appelbaum has created an innovative approach that combines the best of classic bedside medicine with modern technology and cutting edge treatment, allowing for effective care that can be tailored to individual needs.

Dr. Appelbaum comes to MHB with over 15 years of experience as a member of the Division of Cardiology, Non-invasive Cardiac Imaging and Testing Section at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston, MA. He served as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, providing his skills as a clinician, teacher and researcher. He has co-authored many original research articles, written book chapters and lectured on topics in cardiovascular disease around the world. Dr. Appelbaum remains affiliated with BIDMC and Harvard and welcomes all existing and new patients to his practice.


Kevin Flinn, RN

Kevin Flinn, RN

Kevin Flinn is a nurse specialist with over 25 years of experience in the evaluation and treatment of male sexual dysfunction, and is an integral member of the team at Men’s Health Boston. Kevin graduated UMASS Amherst with a bachelors in psychology and Boston College with his bachelors in nursing.

Mr. Flinn has lectured widely to audiences of nurses and other allied health care members, and has provided hands-on training to numerous professionals from outside institutions. Mr. Flinn’s counseling background contributes significantly to the overall treatment offered at Men’s Health Boston.


Peter Veneziano, PA-C

Peter Veneziano, PA-C

Peter Veneziano is a certified physician assistant, having graduated from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. He specializes in a wide variety of men’s health issues including sexual dysfunction, testosterone deficiency, and prostate health.

Prior to joining the team at Men’s Health Boston, he spent over ten years working as a mental health counselor. He received his bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Fairfield University in Connecticut.


Nora Kurbaj, PA-C

Nora Kurbaj, PA-C

Nora graduated from MCPHS University in Boston as a Physician Assistant in 2020. She has an undergraduate degree from Salem State University in Biomedical Sciences. For the past three years, as a certified physician assistant, Nora has been working with patients who have urologic complaints including enlarged prostate, overactive bladder, sexual dysfunction, male hormone imbalances, and female hormone imbalances. She has grown to love treating males and females with hormone therapy to improve their quality of life. Nora gets great satisfaction helping patients gain back their lives and prolong their vitality.


James “Jim” Bell, PA-C

James “Jim” Bell, PA-C

Jim Bell is a certified physician assistant, graduating from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in 2013. He specializes in a wide variety of men’s health issues including sexual dysfunction, testosterone deficiency, and cardiology. Prior to joining the team at Men’s Health Boston, he worked in various specialties including orthopedic surgery and urgent care.

He received his bachelor’s degree in history from Williams College and a law degree from UConn.


Paul O’Connell, PA-C

Paul O’Connell, PA-C

Paul is a certified Physician Assistant who graduated from MCP Hahnemann University.  His specialties include testosterone deficiency, sexual dysfunction, and general urology.

Before joining Men’s Health Boston he has enjoyed working in urology over the past 14 yrs throughout the Boston Metro region.

Paul’s bachelor’s degree in Classics is from UMass/Amherst.


Zach Wehmeyer, RDN, LD, PN1-NC

Zach Wehmeyer, RDN, LD, PN1-NC

Zach is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) with a background in exercise physiology and culinary arts, and a deep love for food. A graduate of the University of Missouri, Zach enjoys empowering people with the knowledge and skills to design a lifestyle that works for them – one that is healthy, fulfilling, and enjoyable.

He brings his expertise in medical nutrition therapy to MHB’s broader mission to deliver world-class healthcare and robust support to help patients lead their most fulfilling lives.
